Halloween is now a not-to-be-missed event during the All Saints' holiday. Here's a round-up of the terrifying places to go around Brive at this time of year.
Celebrate Halloween in Corrèze
Chills at the lighthouse!
Will you dare to enter the lighthouse, transformed into a terrifying tower filled with shadows and mystery? Only the bravest will be able to venture to the top, where Cruella, the Lighthouse Witch, lives!
But don't worry, little monsters are welcome! Children aged 4-5 and over can set off on an adventure with a booklet full of mysterious riddles and challenges. Their mission? Answer cultural questions, solve riddles and take on fun little challenges. With each correct answer, they get closer to the secret word, with the ultimate clue hidden in Cruella's lair at the top of the lighthouse. And if, by some miracle, they manage to complete all the challenges, a magical reward awaits them! And if you come in disguise, the witch herself might just be impressed...

Halloween in Varetz at the Jardins de Colette:
Trick or treat!
During the All Saints' Day holidays, from 20 October to 2 November 2025, the team at Les Jardins de Colette have put together a monstrously fun programme on the theme of Halloween. Put on your costume and come and enjoy the many activities waiting for you at the Jardins de Colette:
- treasure hunt,
- pumpkin decorating workshop,
- make-up stand (25, 26, 31 October and 1 November from 2pm to 6pm)

Halloween Festival at Castel Novel
From 27 September to 2 November 2025, immerse yourself in a world of thrills, laughter and magic at the first edition of theHalloween Festival.
From 4pm - a festive family atmosphere:

Halloween at the Brive ice rink
It's the big comeback of the Halloween celebration at the ice rink on Saturday 25 October, from 2.15pm to 10.45pm! Come and shiver in a Halloween atmosphere with the local clubs, who will also be on hand to accompany you during this exceptional event. Catering available on site.

Halle Gaillarde celebrates its 6th anniversary with a Halloween Night Party
The shopkeepers of the Halle Gaillarde will be hosting a Halloween Night Party with ONLYBDJ from 7pm to 11pm. Gifts to be won. You can of course eat on site.
Halloween at the Lamy chocolate factory (Brive)
The Lamy chocolate factory is offering a chocolate workshop for children on 31 October from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Price: €18. Other workshops on 21, 24 and 28 October.

Halloween in Ayen
Halloween walk (approx. 5 km) on 31 October at 7.30pm. Meeting point at the village hall. This will be the night of witches and other evil creatures. Vampire soup and drinks on the way back. Price: €5 (free for children under 12). You can register on site. Come in disguise with good shoes and a torch.

Halloween walk in Perpezac-Le-Blanc
Join us on Friday 31 October at 7.30pm at the village hall in Perpezac-le-Blanc for the third Halloween walk. Participants will enjoy a 5km walk. Beware, this will be the night of witches and other evil creatures. On the way back, you'll be treated to vampire soup and drinks. You'll also be able to dance a few steps with these fantastic creatures. Registration €5, free for under-12s. Registration opens on 30 September via Hello Asso.

Anim'Halloween in Allassac
Wednesday 22 October: Get your best costumes ready... Halloween is just around the corner! Allassac town council invites you to an afternoon of magic, laughter and thrills!
Programme :
- 2pm: "Wish" cinema (Disney, 2023). Salle culturelle, free.
- Best fancy dress competition: Win great prizes: 1 video drone, 1 Playmobil mansion and surprises from Lego, Stitch, Pokémon and Patrol!
- 4pm: Candy hunt in town centre shops
Under the responsibility of an adult. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
2 age categories: under 6s and 6/12s.
How the competition works :
1) Before the film screening, participants will be evaluated by a panel of judges.
2) In each of the 2 categories, the 3 children with the highest scores will each win one of the prizes on offer.
3) The winners will be announced on the "Ville d'Allassac" Facebook page on Thursday 23 October at 12 noon.

Halloween with the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire Vézère Ardoise: Escape Game The Haunted Manor
The Pays d'art et d'histoire Vézère Ardoise is offering an escape game in Allassac. More than 100 years ago, when the Manoir des Tours was a school, some thieving pupils played a funny trick on their teachers... They stole the gold slate, the school treasure, and hid it in a secret place... you have 45 minutes to help the ghost teachers recover it and allow their souls to finally find rest!

- From 1.30pm to 5.45pm: Face painting workshops, every 15 minutes. (Places are limited). Single price: €3.
- From 2pm to 6pm: Come and solve a mystery in the castle grounds, different times: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm. (Places are limited). Admission: €8 / free for children under 3.

La Cité des insectes in Nedde is organising a Halloween beast hunt, with tastings of insects and other weird stuff, and prizes for everyone! In true Celtic style, come and celebrate autumn, which was the end of the year for the Celts, with a Halloween party for family and friends. For the Celts, Halloween was a day out of time when the living met the dead. Come dressed up and join in the hunt for the ugliest bugs! The museum, vivarium and garden will be your playground! Friday 31 October at 10.30 am:
For Halloween, the Train de Martel is offering an unusual experience on board its diesel train, decorated for the occasion. Little monsters, witches and creatures of all kinds are invited to embark on a festive and frightening journey through the landscapes of the Haut Quercy. Children in fancy dress will be able to enjoy this special event, full of surprises, free of charge.

Halloween at the Grottes de Presque

This year, Halloween will take place over 3 days and the inside of the cave will be decorated.
