Our weekend favourites

Rides, shows, food markets and car boot sales are all taking place this weekend, much to our delight. And the good news is: the sun’s set to shine!

Friday 12 June

  • Today’s fairs and/or markets: in Allassac all morning on Place de la République and in Juillac from 4.30 pm to 7 pm (in the car park, opposite Vival).

  • The Brive Foires Franches 2026 , 6–21 June
    As every year in June, Place du Guierle in Brive will come alive with the Foires Franches, filled with the aromas of waffles, crêpes, churros, nougat, ice cream and other delicacies, with music, laughter and children’s shouts ringing out throughout these two weeks. Children’s rides, duck fishing, rifle shooting, thrill rides, simulators…

  • 800th anniversary of Saint Anthony’s arrival in Brive at the Grottes de Saint-Antoine on 12, 13 and 14 June
    Three days to launch the 2026/2027 Jubilee, to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Saint Anthony’s arrival in Brive-la-Gaillarde.

  • Guided tour: Brive: the birth of a modern city – 3.00 pm, meet in front of Saint Sernin Church.
    During this walking tour, you’ll discover Brive’s historic monuments and how the town evolved at the turn of the 20th century!

  • The Swings Cabaret Grand Show, Season 2: Dinner and a Show at Le Cabaret Gaillard

Immerse yourself in the world of Cabaret Gaillard and let yourself be swept away by the Grand Show of the revue Les Swings.

Singers, dancers and the acrobat Ophélie Screve, a leading figure in the world of pole dancing, share the stage in a series of intense and captivating acts.

Saturday 13 June

  • Discover Brive’s main market on Place de la Guierle and under the Halle Georges Brassens.
    Another market is also held on Place Thiers on Saturday mornings (in front of the Halle Gaillarde).
  • Guided tour: Brive, its history and heritage at 10.30 am.

    As you stroll through these streets, you’ll discover beautiful Renaissance and classical architecture, whilst Saint-Martin Collegiate Church offers fine examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
    Meet at the Tourist Office on Place du 14 Juillet in Brive. Duration: 1½ hours.

    The Venez Danser Le Swing association is bringing its 2025–2026 season to a spectacular close and has chosen Rouge Ô Lèvres for its end-of-year party.
