Friday 1st May
The fairs and/or markets of the day : in Allassac all morning on the Place de la République and in Juillac from 4.30pm to 7pm (on the Car Park, opposite Vival).
- May 1st events: The Gaillarde tradition of the Casse-croûte (snack) and the Ail et oignon nouveau (garlic and spring onion).

- Lily of the Valley Festival in Le Bournat Park from 10.30am.
On May 1st, the village of Le Bournat is alive with the spirit of 1900. Two candidates are running for mayor, the school is hosting dictations and moral lessons, and the lily of the valley is blooming in the alleyways. It's a day when popular traditions and the conviviality of yesteryear take centre stage.

- Grand vide-grenier à Larche: this event is also open to professional second-hand dealers who want to sell their wares.
Every year, around 400 exhibitors set up shop in the village, car parks and the old campsite... All day long, you'll find plenty to bargain for. On-site catering and refreshment stands are available in several places.
Guided tour of Tours de Merle - Man and nature in the Middle Ages at 11am.
Travel back in time along the banks of the Maronne and immerse yourself in everyday life in the Middle Ages, when men and women lived in harmony with nature, cultivating the land and treating themselves with its plants.

For the Easter holidays, the medieval complex will be decked out in spring colours, the flowers in the garden will be blooming, the little dragons will be hiding in the grounds for a family egg hunt, with Flammèche for an exciting game of enigmas.

Saturday 02 May
- Discover Brive's big market on Place de la Guierle and under Halle Georges Brassens.
Another market is also held on Place Thiers on Saturday mornings (in front of Halle Gaillarde). Trail and hill walk in Voutezac from 8am.
There will be 3 Trail routes to choose from, with several refreshment points along the way: 13 km, 25 km and 47 km.
Online registrations for this event will close no later than 12 noon on 01/05/2026.
RegistrationSalon Minéraux Fossiles Bijoux International exhibition and sale at the Salle Jean Ferrat in Malemort on 02 and 03 May from 10am to 6pm.
First edition for this show organised by the Zen Stones association in Malemort (just next to Brive la Gaillarde) on 2 and 3 May at the Jean Ferrat hall.

Brive has been a crossroads of the Corrèze since prehistoric times, and the town, which was founded in the 5th century around the sanctuary of Saint-Martin l'Espagnol, took advantage of this crossroads location to develop.
