Summer Nocturnes at the Jardins de Colette
New this year is the Retro Garden Party! The Jardins de Colette are offering immersive evenings in the 1920s, with decorations and costumes that will plunge you into the Roaring Twenties! Get into the spirit, enjoy a concert and, like Hercule Poirot, investigate to solve the riddles!
The Vézère Festival is also coming to the Jardins de Colette for a special evening.
The Nocturnes 2024 programme:
Garden Retro Party and giant cluédo
Every Wednesday from 24 July to 21 August (with the exception of 31 July when the Vézère Festival takes place), the Jardins de Colette, in partnership with the Gaillard Académie, invite you to step back in time to the Roaring Twenties, in 1924 to be exact! During a big party organised by the writer Colette, a guest is found dead. It's up to you to find out what happened. You've got 1h30 to do it.
Families will also be invited to solve another mystery: the theft of a guest's favourite object.
Game times for these nocturnes run from 7pm to 10pm (last entry).
Don't forget your torch!
And don't forget to dress up for total immersion!
Garden Retro Party schedule and musical entertainment
Depending on the evening, you'll be able to take a trip back in time with a varied repertoire of music from the 1920s.
- Wednesday 24 July - 7.30pm - Flip Flop Hoppers - Music of the 20s
- Wednesday 7 August - 7.30pm: Duo Panama - Jazz music from the 20s.
- Wednesday 14 August - 7.30pm: Thibaud Dumaine and Robert Blasquez - French and international repertoire from the 1920s
Wednesday 21 August - 7.30pm: Karima and Olivier - Pop n Jazz from the 20s
Please note: The labyrinth (duration 45min - 1h) is not accessible in the evening as there is no lighting. We advise you to do it before 7pm to get the most out of it.

The Vézère Festival at Colette Gardens
- Wednesday 31 July: the Festival de la Vézère has programmed Les Chanteurs d'Oiseaux and the Quatuor Zahir. This concert is scheduled to take place in the gardens at 8pm. Tickets for the concert are available from the Vézère Festival website.
