The Vézère Festival brings life to the Brive region and allows our senses – so eager for virtuosity – to flourish! From 7 July to 11 August 2026, the Festival will celebrate its 45th anniversary.
The Vézère Festival: over 40 years of music… of love and passion!
Nothing suggested that Isabelle de Lasteyrie du Saillant would one day be at the helm of the Vézère Festival. And yet, over 40 years ago now, she embarked on this wild adventure with her husband Guy. A remarkable journey, punctuated here and there by moments of joy, both big and small, but also by a fair share of uncertainties.
After all these years, the Festival still inspires the imagination of both seasoned audiences and young newcomers alike. The secret to its success? A boundless and limitless love for music that always strives for beauty. A realm she thought inaccessible in her child’s heart, but which proved to be universal the moment one listens. Listening… to open oneself up to a new world, to a sensitive and sensory odyssey that is within everyone’s reach!
This event is now under the direction of Diane du Saillant, who is particularly committed to building on the remarkable work already accomplished by her parents. More than ever, she wishes to place the emphasis on young people and new experiences.
Due to the hot weather, some concerts may be rescheduled. We invite you to follow the Festival de la Vézère’s Facebook page to keep up to date with their latest news.
