The Michelin Guide rewards the brave

Publié le 18 April 2025 par su_laetis

As it did last year, the Michelin Guide 2025 recognises the professionalism and talent of our Gaillard chefs!

As you know, the Gaillards appreciate gastronomy and love discovering good restaurants, whether with friends or family!

Our local craftsmen and chefs are renowned for concocting excellent dishes, driven by the desire to share their local produce and know-how...

The Michelin guide makes no mistake, and rewards our establishments. We are proud to have a Michelin-starred restaurant (La Table d'Olivier) and two restaurants awarded a "Bib Gourmand", including a new winner: Inspyration.

All are listed in the famous culinary guide.

Starred restaurant

La Table d'Olivier retains its star for the 12th consecutive year! Pierre Neveu is the only chef in the kitchen, which is quite rare in starred establishments. Fanny Neveu, his wife, is in charge of the pastries and the dining room. La Table d'Olivier offers two menus: one at €65 and the other at €90.

The chefs are judged on their standards, hard work, commitment, imagination and taste for food.

Bib'Gourmand

The Bib'Gourmand is awarded to restaurants offering a complete meal for around €40 (excluding drinks). At the beginning of March, 76 new restaurants were awarded a Bib'Gourmand in recognition of their excellent value for money.

As last year, two establishments are being recognised: Inspyration and En Cuisine.

This year, a new establishment has won:

  • Inspyration: chef Jérémy Cannesan offers high-quality local cuisine and has been listed in the Michelin Guide since 2023. Inspyration is an experience in harmony with nature. The best that nature has to offer (the best of our local produce) at the best of times. At this table, only seasonal produce is served. And you rarely eat the same thing. You never know what to expect when you go to Inspyration. It's nature and seasonal produce that guide your meal choices.
  • En Cuisine: this establishment needs no introduction to the people of Briv! With its stylish, chic bistro feel and relaxed atmosphere, Nicolas Eche's restaurant is an instant favourite.

Restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide

  • Chez Francis: this well-known Brivoise restaurant, inspired by Parisian brasseries, is a must for Book Fair authors, who leave various messages and souvenirs on the walls of the restaurant as a reminder of their much-appreciated visit.
  • Moon: Chef Nicolas Laval, originally from Correze, has chosen a sober, contemporary decor in shades of light wood, blue and white, to better evoke the marine world he loves. On the plate, locally-sourced meat and poultry are not forgotten either. You'll be able to enjoy a rather creative cuisine, always mastered and mindful of the little gourmet details that please!
  • Le Périgord in Donzenac: At the entrance to the village, come and take a seat in this interior adorned with solid wood, next to the imposing fireplace. You'll be treated to the house speciality: calf's head in gribiche sauce, timeless and as good as ever! Rustic as we like it.
  • Le Moulin de l'Imaginaire in Terrasson: An authentic Brivoise, the chef is a gourmet advocate of generous, traditional cuisine, with an abundance of local produce: fried egg, crispy bacon and new potato pancakes; calf's head, ravigote sauce...
