Not just focused on gourmet products, this clarified designation of origin aims to promote all products made in Corrèze.

To give you a better idea of the scheme, let's hear from the Conseil Départemental, the instigator of the operation:
"Against a backdrop of increasing competition between regions, cohesion between players in the same département is the essential foundation of a dynamic to promote the assets and potential of a region, its people and its talents.

With this in mind, the Department, in conjunction with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Department's professional organisations, has launched the "ORIGINE CORREZE" initiative to identify products and expertise originating or produced in Corrèze, whatever the sector of activity represented (industry, food, crafts, etc.).

The nature of the Corrèze brand will contribute to the immediate identification of products and improve their status".

The objectives of this initiative:

To enable consumers to identify products and expertise produced in Corrèze,
To encourage consumption of these products in order to boost employment in Corrèze,
Strengthen the link with the region, its identity and its values among residents and businesses,
Supporting the flow of business between companies wishing to promote a shared image of the Corrèze region, its people and its expertise,
To bring together all the players in the department who are keen to join forces for the economic development of the region.
