The EPV label - Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies)- is a title of recognition awarded by the French government. It was created in 2005 to honour French companies with outstanding craft or industrial expertise.

Which companies have the EPV label?

We are fortunate to have a number of companies in Brive and the surrounding area that have been awarded the Living Heritage label.

  • the Distillerie Denoix: this 19th-century business perpetuates the art of master liqueur-makers through its know-how. Right in the heart of Brive town centre, it's a must-see in the Gascony region...

  • The Palus Rope Factory: the Palus Rope Factory is a traditional artisanal rope factory. What makes it special? It is the last 280-metre-long workshop in France capable of working on such long lengths.
