American women have crossed the ocean to discover our Foires Grasses

Saturday 2 March was the last Foire Grasse of the season. The theme of the event was Foie Gras, and if that sounds good to you, you're not the only one: they've crossed the ocean to come and feast with us!

What could be more rewarding for our region than to benefit from such a high profile?

The Brive-La-Gaillarde market and Foires Grasses

Eight American women with a passion for cooking and gastronomy worked with us for almost 4 months to put together a gourmet trip, the main aim of which was to visit our famous Brive-La-Gaillarde market and its latest Grasse Fair.

A succession of magnificent discoveries (group leader)

Visits, tastings... and a cookery workshop

On the menu for their trip was "a succession of magnificent discoveries", as the group leader told us: visits, tastings and walks to digest. Over the course of 3 days, we took them to some of our must-see places and recommended some good restaurants. A chef even gave them a cookery course based on local produce, and if the feedback we got was anything to go by, it was unanimously acclaimed!

Ceps, foie gras, truffles and liqueurs were just some of the products they took home with them...
