This summer, Brive-la-Gaillarde town centre will come alive thanks to the initiative of local traders. Get ready to have fun and enjoy the long summer evenings. Here's an overview of the events and activities that await you.
From 18 July to 8 August, from 7pm to 9pm, you can stroll and shop in the shops that are still open. For the occasion, the streets of the town centre will resound to the joyous tunes of the bandas. These street bands, with their catchy melodies and infectious energy, will be creating a festive atmosphere.
Brive-la-Gaillarde's shopkeepers will be holding two major sales on 26 and 27 July and 23 and 24 August. It's the perfect opportunity to pick up bargains, discover new products and support local businesses.
In honour of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Brive-la-Gaillarde, the heart of the town will be decked out in tricolour pennants. These decorations will embellish the streets and serve as a reminder of the importance of this historic anniversary. Shops are also invited to enter a competition for the most beautiful shop window on the theme of the Liberation.
For everyone's enjoyment, five play areas will be set up in various parts of the city centre. These areas will offer free access to summer games such as pétanque and volleyball. Here are the locations where you'll find these play areas:

A popular ball will be held under the carrousel in Place Charles de Gaulle. Participants are invited to dress up with a "40s" theme. Meals and refreshments will be available on site (no need to book).
