On 8, 9, 10 and 11 November 2024, the Salon du Made In France will hold its 12ᵉ edition. The event will take place at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles in Paris. The show celebrates the richness and excellence of French manufacturing. More than 1,000 exhibitors will be showcasing their expertise and products.

All sectors will be represented: fashion, decoration, gastronomy, innovation, high-tech, children and tourism. The aim of the show is to showcase French companies and innovations.

Among the exhibitors, several companies from Correze will be taking part: Le Moulin de la Vie Contée, Le Safran de la Vézère, 100 Biscuits and Alphonse Corrèze. This event is an opportunity for these artisans to showcase the richness of our region.

The Moulin de la Vie Contée

The Moulin de la Vie Contée is a traditional oil mill specialising in nuciculture. It is located in Ligneyrac, between Collonges-La-Rouge and Turenne, in the Dordogne Corrézienne valley.

Anne and Cyrille, the managers, have been producing "Origine Corrèze" products here for several years. They offer PDO walnuts in shell, walnut kernels, single variety oils and PDO walnut oils. Their range also includes green walnut wine, chocolate "noillardises", aperitif "doreziennes" and walnut flour.

The estate has a thousand walnut trees, producing ten tonnes of walnuts every year. All the walnuts have a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).

All our products are made from 100% local ingredients, showcasing the expertise of Correzian craftsmen.

Vézère Saffron

Saffron de la Vézère, based in Estivaux, grows a rare and precious spice. This spice is nicknamed "red gold" because of its rarity and high cost. Saffron production begins with the planting of Crocus sativus bulbs. Every October, these bulbs produce small purple flowers.

Farmers pick the flowers carefully to preserve the pistil. This pistil is the part used for the spice. The pistils are then extracted by hand and dried. This process reduces their moisture content by 80%, transforming the filaments into precious saffron.

Finally, Le Safran de la Vézère offers a wide range of products. These include SafraSel, extra jams, jellies, herbal teas and mustards. There are also deep red pistils and syrups.
