The CABCL season (Rugby)
A rugby town par excellence, Brive la Gaillarde is proud to have a rugby club that plays among the best national teams. Relegated to Pro D2 for the coming season, the supporters are imagining the same scenario at the end of the season: joining the elite and the Top 14, as was the case in 2018. On weekends, come along to the Stade Amédée Domenech to support the Black and Whites! A great atmosphere is guaranteed in the stands, as well as on the pitch, where we love to see our fine athletes take on some sometimes formidable opponents.
A historic club
Club Athlétique de Brive was formed in 1910 from the merger of Football Club Briviste and Stade Gaillard. At that time, the 126th Infantry Regiment was transferred from Toulouse to Brive, and many of its members came to strengthen the current team.
The Club quickly established its reputation at regional, national and then international level, playing its 1st match against a Welsh team. They didn't win, but the Corrézien Club never gave up.
Important human values
Integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect are the essential values of rugby. These values were defined in 2009 by World Rugby's member federations. They are recognised in companies where management plays an important role: honesty, a sense of belonging, a spirit of camaraderie... values that we find at Brive Tourisme!
The CABCL prize list
Success is here to stay! Champions of the Trophée Yves du Manoir in 1996, the CABCL has participated in 3 French Cup finals.
The Black and Whites can even pride themselves on having won the European Cup in 1997 against Leicester Tigers! It was a memorable era, with names that still resonate in the rugby world: Laurent Travers, a local boy who now coaches at Racing 92, Alain Penaud, whose son plays for ASM...
A centre of excellence
Created 20 years ago, this is an accredited training centre for young sportsmen and women. A wide range of disciplines are taught here: communication, management, sales, IT, etc., enabling young hopefuls to obtain a recognised diploma while at the same time devoting themselves to their favourite sport. We also provide support for players at the end of their careers, to help them think about the future and support them in their choice of career transition.
Practical information
We've got all the information you need about parking, access and ticketing!
Where can I park next to the rugby stadium?
Just a stone's throw from the stadium, on the other side of the Corrèze, the 3 Provinces car park has 254 free spaces, between the CGR cinema and the Leclerc shopping centre. Ideal for accessing the entrance gates on the Avenue Léo Lagrange side.
There are also easy parking facilities in the two car parks between the ice rink and the boulodrome, or in the small adjacent streets giving access to the stadium, the Derichebourg lounge, where major events are held, pre-match and post-match meals are served, and also for access to the lounge (behind the embuts).
Access to the stadium
The gates to the Stadium generally open 1? hours before the matches, so you can sit back and quench your thirst in the refreshment area. The same applies at half-time and at the end of matches, so you can "rediscover the game". Food-trucks are also set up around the stadium, to satisfy both small and large appetites.
Where can I buy match tickets?
To buy your tickets, go to the club's Official Ticket Office. Beware, some matches are real events and tickets are snapped up in a matter of hours as soon as the date is announced! But don't panic, even if the stands are full, you can still attend the match by 'weighing in', as they say in sports jargon: standing around the pitch, as close to the action as possible.

Bon plan The legendary Brive rugby club
If you want to admire the Brivistes in their natural environment, head to the Stadium on a matchday. CA Brive have been playing in this Ovalie arena since 1921. In the stands, you can feel the thrill of the game, the roar of the crowd and the unstinting support for your favourite rugby club. Before the match, children can have fun in the Kid's Park. After the match, still shaken by the emotion, pop into the shop. With your brand new jersey, you're now part of the CAB family.
