Are you coming to visit the Gaillard region of Brive and don't have a car?

Well, we're not going to hide anything from you, frankness being one of the Gaillard values, so we prefer to warn you. Our territory is not flat, it's largely rural... For us, 20 kilometres is just around the corner... But what am I getting at?

We have problems with soft mobility transport... either you have to be really strong to do everything by bike (but it's possible), or because the public transport networks don't fully cover the whole area and its emblematic sites...

Aware of these obstacles, the local authorities are working to fill these gaps as part of our overall approach to becoming an eco-responsible destination. The introduction of a summer shuttle service between Lac du Causse and the town centre, and between Le Saillant and Brive, is a perfect example...

Visiting by public transport

From Brive, we offer you several tourist routes with train or bus timetables to enable you to discover our beautiful tourist sites.

You can visit Turenne Sainte-Féréole, Varetz (and the Jardins de Colette), Allassac, Objat, Pompadour, Terrasson, Montignac (and the Lascaux caves) or visit outdoor activities such as the Lac du Causse or the Saillant.

To help you prepare for your stay as well as possible, we regularly publish an online guide with updated timetables, which you can download below. We invite you to take note of all our remarks and in particular of the distances that may exist between the place of arrival and the place of visit.

The advantage of this interface is that you type in the destination you want, and if no train is available to take you to your chosen destination, you'll be offered car-sharing, bus, taxi or VTC alternatives.

Ecosyst'M

Ecosyst'M is a car-sharing service set up in Ayen and 7 neighbouring communes. On the Yssandonnais plateau, there are ideas for saving oil and, above all, facilitating soft mobility. The "le durable a son village" group, in conjunction with Maison France in Ayen and 7 neighbouring communes, are offering a car-sharing scheme with a special bonus: Ecosyst'M.

This innovative project enables permanent or holiday residents to benefit from each other's availability. In exchange for services rendered, they have even invented a new currency, the YACA... so you can get started! Further information on 05 55 25 76 12.

Since 2018, Ecosyst'M has also been integrated into the IDVROOM car-sharing application!
