Bikes, mountain bikes and other two-wheelers

This is a cyclist's paradise... whether on the paths or the roads, the Brive region is a playground that will blow your mind.

You won't find any mountain passes here, but that doesn't mean our region is flat... Brive and the surrounding area is a real playground, with varied terrain that's perfectly suited to cycling and mountain biking! The paths and tracks, of course, but also the low-traffic departmental roads, offer a very wide range of routes with varying levels of difficulty.

Mountain biking: a sporting and responsible activity!

  1. Exercising your calves rather than your engine is good for your health and for the natural world around you!
  2. Keep to the paths so as not to damage the vegetation and respect the wildlife.
  3. Avoid taking muddy paths, as this can damage the paths once they have dried out.
  4. Respect other road users by adapting your speed. Gaillard yes, but responsible!
  5. Pick up any rubbish and debris you come across along the way.

Bon plan Mountain bike rides around the water

View of a couple mountain biking in the countryside

You're off on the trails of Le Saillant by mountain bike. Some of them follow the impassive Vézère. Take your time to contemplate it, as you may come across a few bumps sooner or later. Allassac is nearby. Don't miss the Tour César. Change of scenery, but the water is still there. It's the Lac du Causse. You can pedal gently close to the shore or, if you're feeling adventurous, take to the heights to reach the hamlets overlooking the lake.
