Do you enjoy hiking, alone, with family or friends? On foot, horseback or mountain bike? Then you've come to the right place: 800 km of hiking trails. We have routes to suit all levels of ability, all listed in the Plan Départemental des Itinéraires de Promenades et de Randonnées. In these pages, we list the walks in the Brive-la-Gaillarde conurbation.... Many of these paths provide links with our neighbours. Don't hesitate to contact us so that we can put you in touch with neighbouring areas.

Hiking trails for all abilities

There's something for everyone. Sunday strollers and seasoned hikers alike will find something to suit them, with routes to suit their pace and level, such as the 2km "Pont Salomon" trail in Allassac, or the tough 17km "Tour de la Vicomté" in Turenne.

From GR to Pays Gaillard

It's also worth noting that the Grande Randonnée (long-distance footpaths) 46 and 480 pass through our region, as do the Grande Randonnée de Pays (GRP) on the Causse corrézien, and the legendary route to Santiago de Compostela. So, whether you're on foot, horseback or mountain bike, there's nothing like getting off the beaten track to discover the richness and beauty of our countryside!

The Green Lane

In the heart of the Brive Basin conurbation, the Voie Verte runs for 18 km along the banks of the Corrèze and Vézère rivers. Reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, it links the Pont de Granges at Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche with Aubazine station, via Brive town centre. Be careful, though, as some junctions are made by crossing the main roads.
