Viewpoint from Ayen and Juillac

The summit of the Butte d'Ayen rises to 337 metres. There, an orientation table provides captions for the 360° panorama that opens up before your eyes: the Puy d'Yssandon, the Vignols and Hautefort viaducts, as well as the Auvergne mountains and the Limousin mountains....

If you want to enjoy nature to the full, you're in luck, because Ayen is part of the Station Verte network, the benchmark for ecotourism... and there are plenty of footpaths to take you to the viewpoint (marked trails of 4, 6, 8 or 14 km). The paths are signposted in the village square. So get those calves warmed up and let's get going!

Are you on a bike, motorbike or car, or in the middle of a road trip? Take the Route des Puys (access on the right as you enter the village, coming from Brive) and enjoy the site yourself...

Don't stop there, the tour of the heights can take you on to Juillac, Yssandon and the site of La Roche sur Allassac...
