Millas or pumpkin peasant cake
Pumpkin can be cooked as a starter, main course or dessert! The proof is in the Millas, a delicious farmhouse cake.
The ingredients
- 200 g de chaire de citrouille
- 2 pommes
- 75 g de farine de blé
- 75 g de farine de maïs
- 150 g de sucre
- 4 œufs
- 2 dl de crème liquide
- 1 paquet de levure.
- En option : 4 cl de rhum
- Temps de préparation : 15 min
- Temps de cuisson : 55 min
- Pour 6 personnes
Préparation
- Cook the pumpkin in boiling water, then drain.
- Blend the pumpkin purée and add the flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, cream and rum (optional).
- Cut the apples into small cubes and add to the mixture. Mix well.
- Butter a cake tin, pour in the pastry and bake for around 35/40 mins in a medium oven at 180°.
