Yummy! Be honest, just looking at the photo of the clafoutis makes you want just one thing: to try one! It's quick and easy to make, so here's how it's made...

The ingredients

  • 4 oeufs
  • 5 cuillère à soupe de sucre
  • 1 sachet de sucre vanillé
  • 6 cuillères à soupe de farine
  • 1 verre de lait
  • Beurre pour le moule
  • 500 g de cerises
  • Temps de préparation : 10 min
  • Temps de cuisson : 30 min
  • Pour 6 personnes

Préparation du clafoutis

  • Break the eggs into a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Add the sugar while continuing to whisk
  • Add the flour and stir
  • Pour in the milk and stir until smooth.
  • Generously butter a mould and arrange the washed and stemmed cherries. (Don't remove the stones! The flavour will be even better).
  • Bake for 10 min at 210° then 20 min at 180°.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Enjoy warm or cold, depending on your taste!

Tip: you can use the same pastry with other fruits (apples, pears, peaches...), but in Gaillard country we don't call it a clafoutis but a flognarde!
