Walnut cake
It's the cake that grandmothers in the Corréziennes make for their children's birthdays, and it's a must-try in the Brive region! The whole family loves the noix du Périgord.
The ingredients
- 1 verre de cerneaux passés au mixeur
- 250 grammes de sucre
- 250 grammes de farine
- 4 œufs
- ½ verre d’huile de noix
- ½ verre de vin blanc
- ½ verre d’eau
- 1 sachet de levure chimique
- Sel
- Preparation time : 10 min
- Cooking time : 50 min
- Serves 6
Préparation
- Dissolve the eggs and sugar, add the white wine, a pinch of salt, the kernels, oil, baking powder and flour.
- Place in a buttered tin and bake for 50 minutes in a medium oven.
