Gastronomy
Brive's gastronomy is an institution: restaurants, local produce and a whole host of other delights.
Ideally located by virtue of its geographical position, the Brive region has always known how to make its land prosper and get the best out of it, quietly, as the seasons go by: livestock in the green and fat pastures, vegetables in the plains of the Corrèze and Vézère rivers, ceps and chanterelles in the oak, hornbeam and chestnut forests.
This wealth of produce can be found not only on the market stalls but also on restaurant plates. There's no doubt that when you come to our region, you'll not only be able to feast your eyes on our magnificent landscapes, but you'll also have the memory of some marvellous culinary discoveries that you're sure to want to reproduce at home, thanks to a few unmissable recipes.
