Table d’orientation du Puy d’Yssandon

The Puy d’Yssandon offers a remarkable panorama encompassing the Brive Basin, the Monédières, the Monts d’Auvergne, the Causses and the Périgord plateaux, all of which can be seen from the orientation table. The plateau at the top of the hill offers many vantage points, including the remains of the old feudal enclosure. The lower slopes are planted with walnut trees, while the steeper parts are colonized by downy oaks and pines; on the southern and eastern slopes, the forest is less dominant, leaving wide-open spaces for meadows, vines, plums and walnut trees.
