It's autumn, and at Les Gaillards in Corrèze, we love food and festivities! These two passions are reflected in our autumn calendar, with a host of events and festivals to showcase our local produce in a convivial atmosphere.

Autumn calendar of gastronomic festivals

Apple festival in Brive (4 October 2025)

  • This autumnal fruit is always celebrated on a Saturday in October in the Place de la Collégiale. Visitors can sample apples in a variety of ways (pies, juices, compotes).
  • Children aged 6 to 12 can also take part in the pie-making competition.
  • There's plenty of free entertainment all day long, including a merry-go-round, musical entertainment and an apple train.
  • Lunch: an apple-based meal available to eat in or take away.
  • New this year: gourmet meal prepared by David Boyer (Meilleur Ouvrier de France). Reservations required up to and including September 26.

Apple and cider festival in Cublac (5 October 2025)

  • In addition to the large garage sale set up around the village, you can enjoy an all-day market selling apple juice (bring your own bottle), apples, etc.
  • Meals available on site. Tombola, inflatable structures and fairground stalls

The Baco festival in Saint-Robert (12 October 2025)

  • The new Baco is a rigorous, early wine, harvested between late September and early October. It is highly coloured, tannic, rich in alcohol and slightly bitter. The festival takes the form of a festive market prepared by numerous volunteers to enable everyone to enjoy a variety of products: garlic rub, calf's head, black pudding, pancakes, desserts... The day is enlivened by an orchestra.
  • This is the 31st Bacco festival. The festival is held in the village square.
  • The fête du Baco nouveau is also an opportunity to share a festive day in Saint-Robert, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Pumpkin festival in Chabrignac (18 and 19 October 2025)

Chabrignac is the place to celebrate Halloween's star vegetable! For this 29th edition, between animations and meals, young and old will find their account during this festival. Just a few days before Halloween, pumpkins take pride of place in Chabrignac.

  • The principle remains unchanged: a day dedicated to children on Saturday, with games and a show throughout the afternoon.
  • Sunday: weighing of the big pumpkin and inauguration (10.30am), lunch under the covered market.
  • A host of exhibitors will be on hand to showcase their wares. Over the two days, the bakers will be kneading and baking many batches of bread. Cucurbits will be displaying their size, colour and originality to the public.

Autumn festival in Vars-sur-Roseix (26 October 2025)

No fuss in Vars: all the fruits of autumn are celebrated. Apple juice and chestnuts are made and sold, as well as Tourtous and boudins, not to mention a market of local produce and a craft exhibition.

From 10.30am to 6pm on the church square.
