What water sports activities are available on Lac du Causse?

In Terre Gaillarde, summers can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 30°. As a result, water sports and aquatic activities are in great demand. And that's just as well, because you'll be spoilt for choice at Lac du Causse!

Swimming at Lac du Causse

For sunbathers and beach-goers, there are two large sandy beaches around Lac du Causse: Plage des Peupliers, near the water sports centre, and Plage du Moulin, with a play area for children.

The swimming area at Plage du Moulin is supervised every day during the summer holidays from 11am to 7pm by lifeguards.

The water is checked regularly to ensure its quality and guarantee safe bathing.

Fishing - The House of Water and Fishing at the Moulin de Lissac

Its mission is to educate, raise awareness and provide expertise in the aquatic environment. This includes fishing courses and events/awareness-raising for a wide range of audiences (children and adults). The values of passion, rigour and sharing influence and guide the actions undertaken by this association.

Fishing enthusiasts, there are discovery fishing sessions for 7-12 year-olds: technique and practice, not forgetting knowledge and understanding of the aquatic environment!

For older children, there are fishing courses and guides: fly fishing for trout and grayling, and lure fishing for predators. All levels, adults and teenagers.

Activities on the water

Lac du Causse offers a wide range of activities, including paddle-boarding, canoeing, rowing, pedalos, an introduction to sailing, water-skiing, towed buoys, etc. Don't have any equipment? Reminder: you must wear a lifejacket for all water sports: paddling, canoeing, rowing....

Did you know that throughout the year, Lac du Causse plays host to international team training groups before and after the season?
