With your feet in the water or on the edge of a pond, try your hand at fly-fishing, live-fishing, lures, jigging or baiting... Use all the techniques and stratagems on the rivers of the Brive region: the Loyre, the Roseix, the Couze, the Corrèze, the Montane, the Vimbelle, the Maumont and the Vézère have sections in 1st or 2nd category so you can live out your passion to the full. Not to mention the Dordogne and the Lac du Causse, where the Dordogne and the Causse lake where the Fishing and water house is located.
In our tourist information offices, you'll find brochures and maps of the Correze fishing network. And here you'll find a list of organisations that organise introductory or advanced courses or lend out equipment so that you can fish in good conditions while respecting the environment and reproduction cycles.
Fishing: a sporting and responsible activity!
- Take part in a family fishing course and learn how to fish with your own rod and reel, without forgetting your knowledge and understanding of the aquatic environment!
- For sustainable fishing, respect the catch quotas set by the competent authorities in order to preserve the fish population in the long term.
- Use selective fishing techniques that specifically target certain species, thereby reducing by-catches and the capture of non-target fish.
