Brive, training centre for the 2024 Olympics!
It's great to see Brive and the surrounding area included on the list of sports venues offered to French and foreign delegations to prepare their teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games!
In all, no fewer than 8 disciplines have been selected:
Olympic triathlon
Paralympic triathlon
Olympic rowing
Paralympic rowing
Artistic swimming
Olympic swimming
Paralympic swimming
Rugby 7-a-side
Quality facilities for sports courses!
As you know, sport is an integral part of our values. What could be better than combining it with a pleasant setting and quality facilities? 3 of our sites will proudly represent the Brivois region: the Causse nature centre, the municipal sports park and the Pisc!ne!
The athletics tracks (including a 400m track with 8 lanes in 2013: THE only track in New Aquitaine marked in both directions!), the hilly, little-travelled roads in the middle of small villages and rivers, the Brive aquatic centre, the Lac du Causse and its sports facilities, the approved indoor gymnasium and tennis courts are all real assets for the destination and outdoor sports enthusiasts.
And don't get us wrong, we're no beginners! In fact, we're used to hosting top-level competitions! Our efforts and our exceptional infrastructure have enabled us to obtain the honourable label of preparation centre for the 2024 Olympics. The Brivois Basin is part of a new Olympic dynamic and we're proud of it!
