Sports courses : MOUNTAIN BIKING
The FFV-approved Causse-Saillant centre has 20 marked courses, 14 of which are on the Lac du Causse site:

- 2 black, one of which is 47 km long and has a D+ of 1741
On Piste
ON PISTE is a service offered by the Rossignol Group, providing sportsmen and women of all abilities with a single, free platform containing the best waymarked routes, the right equipment and not-to-be-missed events in environmentally-friendly destinations to discover on foot, by bike or on skis.

By discovering the "Brive entre Causse et Vézère" destination,you can explore all the routes, their difficulties, their subtleties, their remarkable viewpoints and all the technical elements to best prepare your sporting holiday.
On site
Once you're here, download the On Piste application and the GPX tracks for the trail you want to do. They'll complement the on-site markers and give you invaluable tourist information for your trail outings!
The Causse
Lac du Causse is located in the Couze valley, a few kilometres from Brive.
With its 200 hectares of landscaped land (100 hectares of water and 100 hectares of natural areas), Lac du Causse is a showcase for the Gaillard region, with its many assets:
- A Nature Sports Centre label for the Causse and its many facilities
- An area reserved for open water swimming
- A Causse Sports and Leisure Centre offering a wide range of mountain bikes for hire, as well as a technical repair workshop
- 14 circuits departing from the lake, all FFV approved
- A " 2024 Games Preparation Centre " label
The Saillant
Le Saillant marks the boundary between the fast-flowing waters of the middle Vézère and the calm waters that take it all the way to its confluence with the Dordogne. Soils of alternating granite and gneiss form a deep valley plateau that is a particular delight for mountain bikers.
Just a few kilometres from the Lac du Causse, this is a benchmark site for outdoor sports, offering the extraordinary scenery of the Vézère gorges.
On site:
- A Base Sports Loisirs Vézère (Vézère Sports and Leisure Centre), which offers a wide range of mountain bikes for hire, a technical repair workshop and around twenty supervised and unsupervised outdoor activities.
