Branceilles wines
After winning the bronze medal at the 1878 Universal Exhibition, Branceilles wine fell into oblivion, a victim of phylloxera. Eight farmers brought it back to life in 1987, naming it "1001 Pierres" in memory of the unforgiving soil. The vineyard (45% Cabernet Franc, 30% Gamay and 25% Merlot) produces 200,000 bottles of red, rosé and white wine.
Vins Mille et Une Pierre: bold, responsible production!
- Grape-growing first appeared in the south of Corrèze in the Gallo-Roman era in the 6th century, and is closely linked to our history.
- Initiated by passionate young farmers, winegrowing is now a recognised economic activity.
- The wines are AOC Corrèze.
- Concerned about the environment, the winegrowers offer a wide range of organic wines.
The Mille et une Pierres range of wines
- Quinçonnes: red wines (merlot and cabernet franc) and white wines (gamay and cabernet franc)
- Triadoux: this range of red and rosé wines includes an ORGANIC version
- Ferrand: this red wine is also available in an ORGANIC version
- Cuvée spéciale 7: this white wine can be served as an aperitif or with foie gras or dessert.
- Champ du Clos: this rare gem is a powerful red wine
- Miel des muses: this is a passerillé wine, or mulched wine, reminiscent of the know-how of the Correze region.
