Limousin beef
The Limousin is a breed of cattle originating in the Limousin region of France, renowned for the quality of its meat, particularly Label Rouge Limousin beef and milk-fed veal.
The Limousin, the Rolls Royce of meats
The Limousin was originally used as a draught cow for its muscular strength. Today, it is a highly prized breed and the Rolls Royce of meats, thanks to its butchery and taste qualities.
Its very fine grain makes its meat tender, and it is both lean and juicy, giving its marbling a unique flavour. Its quality is often rewarded. Several labels are associated with it: Label Rouge, Blason Prestige and Qualité Limousine...
Limousin beef, an export beast
Bred mainly in the Limousin region, the Limousin can also be found in other parts of France. It's a cow with good adaptability. In fact, it can be found in 70 countries in different climates.
