Exposition “Carnets d’artistes” (Médiathèque centre ville)

Artist Marie Thoisy takes us on a large-format visual tour of Brive, Paris, Arcachon, Nancy and elsewhere in the Lot countryside, where her career as a notebook artist takes her.
“My watercolors are like pages to be read, you have to stop and read them as you would a book. The text gives the image a poetic complement, a liberated emotion that enriches it, both being born at the same time on the spot, when I stop to paint on a train or in a café.”
Marie draws with both hands, right and left, giving her visuals a singular graphic quality.
