Ciné club Utatel: Les dames du bois de Boulogne (Cinéma Rex/Utatel)

Hélène has the unpleasant impression that her lover, Jean, is slipping away from her. To verify her assumptions and facilitate a painful confession, she preaches falsehood and learns to her dismay that Jean no longer loves her. Hurt, Hélène decides to take revenge and devises a meticulous plan. She arranges for Jean to meet Agnès, an attractive cabaret dancer whom she has taken under her protection. As Hélène had foreseen, the plan works perfectly and Jean immediately falls in love with the young woman. Aware of her past indiscretions, Agnès almost thwarts Hélène’s scheme by revealing in a letter to her fiancé that she’s just a lost girl. But Jean refuses to read the letter?
