The Corrèze Cancer Registry Association

This is an association governed by the 1901 law, set up in 1996 by Dr LEDUC, former head of department at the Cancerology Unit, and now chaired by Dr VAYRE Laure.

This association works for the overall care of patients, as the budget restrictions experienced by the hospital world do not give the medical staff the means to develop additional facilities for patients staying in the Brive oncology department. The aim of the association is to provide comfort for every patient.

The association has set up the following facilities in recent years:

• A balneotherapy room with a floatation bed and in-patient shower.
• Refurbishment of patios in the ward.
• Creation of relaxation areas (kitchen and rest room for families, libraries, etc.).
• Financing of part of the biographer's services (home visits and reprographics of the book are paid for by the association).
• Wellness workshops for patients and all the products needed for the beautician are provided by the association.
