A workshop reserved exclusively for short-legged children aged 6 to 12. This is what the Lamy chocolate factory in Brive-La-Gaillarde offers all year round.
In just a few years, the Lamy chocolate factory has become an institution in Brive town centre. The large windows are a dream come true for young and old alike: landscapes or characters, all made from chocolate, are skilfully presented according to the time of year: Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, back to school.... We're amazed at the prowess of these creations.
The good news is that children can also become artists for a day and model chocolate subjects!
Workshops are offered on themes that change with the seasons. We chose Easter as our date.
The children were welcomed by Jérome, who was quite impressed by the chef's white hat. After a few words of introduction and an explanation of the workshop, the children set off.
Aprons provided, hands thoroughly washed, our little fellows are ready for this brand new experience. And there's an awful lot of them today! The workshop can accommodate up to 24 people.
This Wednesday, the theme is Easter. The children have the pleasure of working with chocolate and marzipan. With their fingertips, they form funny little details to finalise their unique piece.
After 1 hour, the creations take shape to give life to beautiful subjects.......
Keep up to date with the chocolate factory on their Facebook page.
