100% GAILLARD: The brand that's good for the planet
In the run-up to Black Friday, when promotions are pouring in from all sides, Boutique 100% Gaillard is going against the grain with a profoundly different concept. The "100% Gaillard" territorial brand is much more than a traditional brand!
The 100% gaillard brand is much more than a traditional brand!
In addition to its involvement in promoting our region, "100% gaillard" is committed to an eco-responsible approach that meets the future challenges of our society.
For over 5 years, we have been choosing organic, environmentally-friendly materials that have a real impact on the survival of our planet:
You too can play your part in all this by buying our products. We'll explain it all to you in detail:
Produced from natural agricultural crops, choosing organic cotton means ruling out pesticides, synthetic chemical fertilisers and GMOs.
Choosing organic cotton means taking part in fair trade and helping India (the world's largest producer of organic cotton) by offering real working conditions, guaranteeing real pay, banning child labour and providing access to schooling for the children of employees in these factories, which are labelled by the FAIRWAY Foundation.
Recycling plastic bottles and fabric scraps with 100% recycled polyester means reducing waste, reusing natural materials and limiting the amount of plastic in our oceans.
It also means using 50% less energy in production, a responsible choice that has yet to be fully embraced.
Sorona is an innovative material (derived from a molecule obtained from glucose from maize) that replaces nylon, a highly polluting material, and above all the animal down usually found in items such as down jackets.
Sorona now allows us to respect animals by totally disassociating ourselves from battery farming and the painful techniques used on geese and ducks.
To date, there is no such thing as "responsible down", so Sorona is the best alternative.
We respect animals by banning silk from our products, opting instead for Lyocell, a textile fibre made from wood cellulose (eucaplyptus, oak, birch, etc.) obtained using a 100% organic solvent.
The trees used for Lyocell are cultivated in a limited and sustainable way, in accordance with forestry codes.
