New restaurants in Brive-La-Gaillarde

The gastronomic landscape of Brive-La-Gaillarde is in the throes of renewal. Recently, several of the town's iconic restaurants have been undergoing major changes, with both changes of ownership and conceptual revolutions. These changes, which combine respect for the local culinary heritage with innovation, mark a significant turning point in the gastronomic experience in Brive.

"La Toupine becomes Moon

Isabelle and Olivier Maurin, who have been delighting our taste buds for some twenty years with their establishment La Toupine, are handing over the reins to Armandine Renault and Nicolas Laval, who are opening Moon.

After gaining experience in top gastronomic establishments, Nicolas Laval will be offering a fusion cuisine combining Thai, Japanese and traditional French products. Opening date: February 6

"Le 4" becomes "Le Saint-Germain

Fatima Le Bailly has taken over the restaurant Le 4, which is now called Le Saint-Germain in reference to the district where she grew up in Paris.

Located at 4 rue Majour, Le St-Germain offers traditional fare at lunchtime, tapas in the evening and brunch on Sundays.

"Snack Beef becomes L'Atelier du Boucher

After selling the highly successful Carpoguinguette with its large barbecue, Mathieu Farges teamed up with chef Christophe Rathonie to open L'Atelier du Boucher.

The meat comes direct from the Brive abattoir and is prepared in the restaurant's laboratory before being cooked on a plancha or in the brazier (depending on the season). There's also a platter to share and home-made pastries.
