In 1983, the medieval village of Saint-Robert was the setting for the television series Les Grives aux Loups, based on a novel by Claude Michelet.
The series was a huge success and will live long in the memory. Many residents of St-Robert, Louignac and Beauregard were extras in the series and still remember it to this day.
40 years on, to mark the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days), the commune of St-Robert and the St-Robert Oberreichenbach twinning committee are organising a wonderful celebration on 16 September, in a spirit of togetherness to promote history and heritage, with a lively sound and light show.
The story of a farming family from the Corrèze (the Vialhe family), living in the village of Saint-Libéral (Saint-Robert in the film), from the end of 1899 until the 1950s, tracing the arrival of modernism and the wars, among other events.
