Following on from Juillac and Ussac, the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire Vézère Ardoise has teamed up with the Chanteix town council to offer a new edition of this participatory Festival of Lights on 26 and 27 January 2024.
From 7pm on 26 and 27 January, the public will be able to wander freely around Chanteix and discover the illuminated installations.
A map and signposting on site will guide visitors as they (re)discover the village's heritage: the Town Hall, St Julien's Church, the Chestnut Dryer, the wells, etc.
This Festival of Lights, initiated by the Pays d'Art et d'Histoire Vézère Ardoise, is a collaborative project run in partnership with the commune, local associations, schools, residents, local businesses and shops.
The first two editions were a great success
From November to the end of January, artists from Correze ran free workshops for the general public. The aim was to create illuminated works to highlight the heritage of Chanteix.
These artists and craftspeople come from different backgrounds and have complementary approaches.
