Corderie Palus awarded "Living Heritage Company" label

Founded in 1908, Corderie Palus, located in Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche, is a traditional artisanal rope-maker.
What makes it special? It's the last 280m-long workshop in France capable of working such long lengths! Its products are used in animal husbandry, woodworking, vineyards and arboriculture, flour milling, packaging twine, upholstery, plumbing and sport.
A tradition that is perpetuated day after day by meticulous work using natural fibres such as hemp, sisal, jute and cotton.
La Corderie has just been awarded the invaluable"Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (EPV) state label, established to distinguish French companies and industrial and craft skills of excellence, for a period of 5 years.
Characteristics of the "Living Heritage Company" label
Created in 2005, the EPV label is designed to highlight companies that are committed to innovation, tradition, know-how, the creative spirit and Made in France heritage.
It is the only government label awarded to a company for its entire activity:
- high performance of the business and its products
- special attention to in-house training,
- a technically and socially innovative approach,
- a dynamic sales strategy.
- It guarantees the excellence of its know-how.

Corderie Palus is committed to this approach and is opening its doors to give visitors a chance to discover the company in the best possible conditions: an excellent way of sharing their passion with the public, in the intimacy of their workshops.
Schedule for visits to the Palus rope factory
- - 22 April 2025 at 9am and 2pm
- 20 May 2025 at 9am and 2pm
- 17 June at 9am and 2pm
- 22 July at 9am and 2pm
- 16 September at 9am and 2pm
These visits will be led by Mr Assolari. Meeting point directly at the Corderie.
Price: €15 per person (including VAT) (with a 20% discount on purchases in the shop on the day of the tour). Maximum size 25 people per tour.
