It’s Beaujolais Nouveau week ….

Tasting Beaujolais Nouveau and possibly other new wines on the 3rd Thursday in November has become an institution. So this year, on 21 November, we'll be indulging our taste buds with these beverages. What qualities will we find this year? A fruity nose, a tangy mouthfeel and a ruby red colour? Whatever the case, Beaujolais delights many epicureans at this time of year.
How to enjoy Beaujolais?
To enjoy Beaujolais, you have a choice: take advantage of our bars to discover it in good company, or choose a restaurant or brasserie that suggests pairing this early harvest wine with traditional dishes.
Last but not least, you can buy good vintages from our wine merchants, who will advise you according to your preferences. They themselves are planning to organise themed evenings.
And to accompany these wines with their strong character, don't hesitate to make our typical Corrèze dish: mique and petit salé!
Where can you find Beaujolais in Pays Gaillard?
- Un Amour de Vin, (65 avenue Foch, Brive). Reservations can be made by contacting the manager directly by telephone at 0622142804 or by e-mail at unamourdevin19@gmail.com.
- La Cave du Pic Vert, (9 rue de l'Hôtel de Ville, Brive) is open at the usual times. Come and discover new "organic and natural" wines. 100% grape bojo! Tel: 05 55 74 33 05
- L'Ardoise futée, (Place du Marché à Donzenac) Thursday 21 November, from 7pm, it's a "board games" evening, hosted by Le Gobelin Gaillard in Brive.
Places are limited, so bookings must be made by calling 09 50 57 64 97. - Les Domaines du Tastevins (15ter avenue Emile Zola, Brive): a wide choice of Beaujolais and other new wines. Also at the Annexe du Tastevins in the Halle Gaillarde. Further information on 05 55 17 18 18.

- Brasserie La Banou offers a Beaujolais Nouveau evening. Come and discover Beaujolais Nouveau accompanied by their delicious Aligot-saucisse du Beaujolais. The duo Val & Jean will be there in a festive atmosphere to play their compositions on accordion and guitar! Starting at 5pm. By reservation only.

- The Relais de Lissac is celebrating Beaujolais nouveau on 21 November from 7.30pm, with a €25 menu featuring oeufs parfaits en cocotte façon meurette, farmhouse roast half chicken, rustic home fries and old-fashioned mayonnaise, pastis with caramelised Corrèze apples....
