3 JPO: International Pétanque in Objat

The town of Objat once again played host to the biggest names in French and international pétanque from 9 to 11 August 2024.

A major event in the world of pétanque, the International 3JPO d'Objat will not be held in 2025 for financial reasons.

3 JPO: a recognised competition

  • This is the only competition in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region to be labelled 'International' by the Federation, of which there are only around fifteen in France.

  • 3JPO is also the qualifying stage for the 2024"Pétanque Masters" Final, which will bring together all the champions of the sport.
  • It should also be noted that this event is one of the top 5 in France according to the Federation's evaluation criteria.

The 2024 programme :

Friday 9 August:

10am:

  • Veteran doubles (in the shaded Municipal Park). In pools - A and B competitions. Limited to 128 teams. Entries: €10 (stake €1,000).
  • Mixed doubles - In pools. Competitions A and B. Limited to 128 teams. Registration 10€ (Stakes +1000€).
  • Junior National - 32 Triplettes. Free entries - 1000€ prize money.

At 5pm:

  • Gentlemen Tournament - by invitation

Saturday 10th August:

9am:

  • Men's Triplettes (Top 1500) (in pools) - Limited to 320 teams up to the 16th played - Registration: 36€ - Prize fund 20170 € - 1500€/player overall. 16th games played will be stopped.
  • Women's Triplettes (Top 500)- Limited to 96 teams up to the 8th played - Registration €30/team. Prize money: €5,300 - €500/player overall. In a shaded municipal park.

At 10am:

  • National Minimes: 24 Triplettes - Prize money 1000€. Free entry.
  • National Cadets: 32 Triplettes - 1000€ prize money. Free registration.

At 15h30 :

  • Women's Triplettes. Departmental triplettes. 15€/team (A and B competitions). Registration on site from 2.30pm. Prize money: €300 + stakes + prizes.
  • Challenge Godard: Departmental Triplettes - A and B competitions - Registration €15. Prize: €1,000 + stake + prizes.

Sunday 11 August:

8.30am: Men's Top 1500 competition

At 10am: Women's Top 500 competition: Youth Nationals competition

2.30pm: Semi-finals

4.30pm: Finals

At 9.30am :

  • Grand Prix de la ville d'Objat: regional men's doublettes - A and B competitions. Entry fee: €10 (€1,500 + prizes + bets).
    On-site registration from 5pm on Saturday 10 August.
  • Grand Prix de la ville d'Objat: departmental women's doublettes. 10€/team (A and B competitions). Prize: €300 + bets.

  • Don't miss Objat's Sunday morning market, which takes over the town centre and the covered market hall.
  • As a large part of the competition will be taking place in the Place Jean Lagarde (usually used as a car park on Sundays), the local council will be providing temporary parking spaces for all visitors at the entrances to the town.
