Our weekend favourites

This weekend, from 13 to 15 June, you'll be able to enjoy open-air concerts, guided tours, theatre, gourmet markets, flea markets, family events, shows, village fêtes and fairground atmosphere in Brive and the surrounding area!

Friday 13th June

  • Market in Allassac: stock up on local produce direct from producers at the market in the centre of Allassac.

  • Guided tour: Brive at the dawn of the 20th century. A stroll through time to discover Brive's emblematic monuments and some of the unusual stories that marked the town at the beginning of the last century. 3.00pm, meeting point in front of Saint-Sernin church.
    (15 people max. Registration required at the Tourist Office: 05 55 24 08 80)

  • Summa Festival, Parc des Perrières, Brive-la-Gaillarde
    From 13 to 15 June, the park comes alive with children's workshops, a culinary village, exhibitors, a refreshment stand and much more.
    Free admission during the day. Festival prices: Friday €15, Saturday €20.

  • Fête de la musique, Place Jacques Cartier, Brive.
    A wonderful musical evening in prospect:
    17:00: Jean Moulin College choir
    6.00pm: Choral singing - Sing'In Corrèze
    6.30pm: Brive Conservatoire Concert Band
    7pm: Flash Mob
    And from 8.00pm, everyone is invited to sing along to a big karaoke!

  • Spanish evening at La Banou, Brive-la-Gaillarde. A warm atmosphere guaranteed with tapas, sangria and salsa to get the weekend off to a great start! Starts at 5pm.

  • Gourmet market, every Friday evening, Place du Marché in Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche.
    From 6pm to midnight, come and stroll between the producers' stalls, discover handcrafted creations, enjoy a concert and eat on the spot. Don't forget to bring your cutlery!

  • The Corrézienne Riviera at the Cartouche & Cravate guinguette in Malemort. Fancy a break from the sea? Take a seat in the open air and enjoy seafood in a relaxed atmosphere.
    Service from 12 noon to 11.30pm at Cartouche & Cravate.

Saturday 14th June

  • Discover Brive's big market on the Place de la Guierle and under the Halle Georges Brassens. Another market is also held on Place Thiers on Saturday mornings (in front of the Halle Gaillarde).
    You can also find a market of craftsmen and producers in Perpezac-le-Blanc.

  • Temporary sale of second-hand furniture in Malemort.
    Come and find beautiful pieces at low prices, next to Irripiscine, 14 avenue Capitaine Fernand Taurisson. On-site catering, competition, surprises... From 9am.
  • Guided tour of Brive, its history and heritage
    Brive, the crossroads of the Corrèze since prehistoric times, is full of fascinating stories. This tour will take you on a journey of discovery of its rich heritage.
    10.00 am, departure from the Tourist Office.
    Duration: 1h30. Price: €5.

  • 18th Brive Cheerleading Trophy at the Espace des Trois Provinces, Brive-la-Gaillarde
    A day punctuated by the energy of the competitions! Doors open at 10.30am. Competition from 11am to 8pm. Catering, refreshment bar and shop on site.
    Entry fee: €8 (for children aged 6 and over).

  • Conference: the artist Renaud Danson at the Musée Labenche, Brive-la-Gaillarde. A meeting to explore the artist's world, in conjunction with the exhibition at the École Municipale d'Art de Brive. At 2.30pm.

  • Theatre: En quoi cette nuit...? at the Centre Culturel, Brive
    A funny and touching play, combining family memories, traditions and questions about transmission. Three performers on stage for an emotional evening.
    Admission free. Bookings recommended on 05 55 74 20 51 (places are limited).

  • Le Grand Show by Cabaret Les Swings - Dinner and show, at Cabaret Gaillard in Brive-la-Gaillarde
    A dazzling show combining cabaret tradition and modernity, accompanied by a refined dinner by Domaine de la Fage.
    21h. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Sunday 15th June

  • Numerous morning markets, including the famous Objat market and the Malemort market. Find out about all our markets HERE.

  • Flea markets and garage sales of the day:
    - Flea markets and craft fairs at the Belveyre festival in Nespouls. All day long: entertainment, refreshment stalls and on-site catering.
    - Garage sale in Jugeals-Nazareth. From 8am to 5pm, with food and refreshments on site.
  • The Brive fairs
    The Place de la Guierle will be in full swing for a fortnight of entertainment and attractions: merry-go-rounds, sweets, games and fun for young and old alike. A festive event for all the family!

  • Concert: Le Grand Cœur choir, in Sainte-Féréole. A lovely musical moment to round off the weekend.
