L’Échappée Gaillarde: Gravel
Gravel fans, we look forward to seeing you on 29 June 2025 for the second edition of theÉchappée Gaillarde: a 76km route!
News: L'Échappée is cancelled
The bad weather last Wednesday caused extensive damage to the paths, making them impassable.
A municipal by-law was issued today restricting access to the Parc de la Guierle.
In addition, the numerous obstacles on the paths and the risk of falling branches are jeopardising the safety of participants.
In view of these factors, the Échappée Gaillarde scheduled for Sunday 29 June is cancelled.
We thank participants for their understanding and remain at their disposal for any further information.
Refund arrangements will be announced shortly on these pages.
79 km route
- D+ 990 m
- Start at Place de la Guierle at 8am
- Towns crossed: Yssandon, Brignac-la-plaine, Perpezac-le-Blanc, Saint-Aulaire, Objat, St-Viance, Varetz
- Option to extend the route (90 km in total) to reach the special refreshment area at Gauch (pizza in an ancestral bread oven).
- No signposting proposed, the GPX route will be sufficient
What we ♥ most about this route: it's the Gravel spirit! We wanted to offer you an atypical route that's ideal for consolidating your technique on a Gravel. A festive start from the Echappée village and... a wild return!
→ There is a variation on the route to reach the superb refreshment area at Gauch, a small village nestling above Allassac, where the ancestral bread oven is being rekindled for the occasion by the Dynamique des 3 villages association. A pizza party will be held in honour of the occasion, where you can also meet the cyclists!
