The 2026 edition of the Book Fair is scheduled for 6 to 8 November 2026. The 44th edition will be held partly on the Guierle (a historic site) and partly at the Espace des 3 Provinces.

The Book Fair: a bold and responsible event!

  1. The biggest literary event in the French provinces, where you can meet and talk to well-known authors.
  2. Open up to a variety of subjects through the conferences and discussions organised over the 3 days.
  3. Introduce children to the joys of reading by organising meetings with authors in schools.
  4. Bringing the authors on the train while enjoying a tasting of local products. The famous cholesterol train !
  5. Our tip: as the event is in the city centre, leave the car at home and come by train, bus or carpool!

A major literary event in France

The Brive Book Fair is one of France's great autumn events. A literary rendezvous renowned as much for the diversity of the authors present as for its "gourmet" spirit, the Foire du Livre is coming to Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze for a moment of 100% literary sharing!

Whether you're a book lover or an occasional reader, there's something for everyone, from novels of all genres to comic books, cookbooks and children's books... From the most famous writers to newcomers, from local authors to celebrities: it's a meeting place for all artists! Young and old alike are charmed by the friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Meeting with leading French authors

Authors and publishers get together to present their works. They'll be delighted to share their stories and their careers with you, as well as taking photos and signing books...

We don't yet know who will succeed Philippe Claudel as president of this new edition.

One thing is certain: among the 500 authors and illustrators present, many winners of prizes such as the Goncourt usually honour us with their presence.

Where will the 2026 Book Fair take place?

The 44th edition of the Book Fair will take place in the Halle Georges Brassens and will welcome authors of general literature. In 2026, this Hall will be reconfigured and extended by 1,000 m2 to provide greater comfort for the ever-growing number of visitors.

TheEspace des 3 Provinces will be home to children's literature and comics.

These two sites will be easily linked by the greenway (about 6 minutes). The spaces will be more airy, meet health requirements and reduce queues.

Tip A feast of culture

Writer Amélie Nothomb presents a signed book to one of her readers

If you're a lover of literature, the Brive Book Fair is the place to quench your thirst for culture. In the halle George Brassens, usually reserved for market stalls, the finest authors of the new literary season will gather at the beginning of November to share their finest prose. At the rhythm of the free meetings, you'll be able to pick up a few comics, a sprinkling of children's books or a zest of local productions. At the end of the day, the authors all meet up at Cardi, a "night club" with a unique atmosphere.
