Self-service bikes in Brive-La-Gaillarde
The Brive conurbation has a fleet of 90 electric bicycles (+36 to come in June 2025) available for hire from 26 points of sale (15 in Brive (+7 to come in June 2025) and 4 in neighbouring towns). This is a great opportunity for local residents and tourists visiting the area, without their car, to opt for sustainable mobility, whether or not they use public transport.
A self-service bike means a bike that's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These Vendée-made bikes have a range of 50 km (depending on use). Battery recharging, maintenance and assistance are provided by a local service provider.
Where can I find the bike stations?
In Brive-La-Gaillarde, there are 15 stations throughout the town and in the neighbouring towns of : Ussac, Malemort, Cosnac and Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche.

How do I hire the bikes?
- Download the Vélibéo application.
- Create an account with username and password
- Choose your mode of operation (occasional or subscription)
- Activate your credit card.
- Be near the station and the desired bike or bikes, as you can hire several at the same time.
- Connect to the application,
- Access the map of stations
- Choose the one that interests you or press rent.
Parking :
- Please note that during your hire period, you can make a one-minute stop by securing the bike on a piece of street furniture by inserting its chain into its lock (to unlock it, insert the unlocking code sent when you hired it).
- You must return the bike to one of the Vélibéo pay stations. If all the spaces are occupied, you can attach the bike to the one already there, like a shopping trolley.

Discover the Voie Verte
The greenway that runs through Brive on the edge of the Corrèze offers a 17km itinerary. This greenway will soon be connected to the sections that run along the Vézère in the direction of Saillant:
- a 4km protected circuit between the Barrage de Saillant and Allassac
- a 3km circuit between Lasteyrie and Le Saillant.

Rates :
- without a subscription: 1 euro for 30 minutes, then 0.05 euro per minute
- with a monthly subscription: 10 euros per subscription, 30 minutes free, then 0.05 euro per minute
- with an annual subscription: 60 euros per subscription, 30 minutes free, then 0.05 euro per minute
- if you are already a Libéo subscriber, you can access reduced monthly (5 euros) and annual (40 euros) subscriptions.
- A deposit of 170 euros will not be withdrawn.
